This is Ridiculous[edit]

According to the rules, casts are listed according to original broadcasting credits. The original credits clearly show Lisa as before Kyle. I don't see how fixing the page to follow the rules is disruptive. I think that others such as mymis and music changing it so that it doesn't follow the rules because they prefer Kyle Richards is what is really disruptive. If you're going to lock the page for editing, how about you fix it first? The level of ineptitude is unbelievable- the logic here isn't hard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.42.113.212 (talk) 08:16, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa Rinna - Season 4[edit]

Lisa Rinna has a credited appearance in season 4, the same episode Jamie Lee Curtis. She should have a 'Guest' reference put in the Timeline, as she appears and is even credited, just does not interact with any of the cast.

Carlton & Joyce[edit]

Carlton confirmed in a tweet that she has now been informed by Bravo and she is not returning for Season 5. https://twitter.com/CarltonGebbia13/status/474023995344293888 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.14.144.12 (talk) 19:09, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

FAYE[edit]

Faye was in S05E12, made an appearance at Kyle's mixer so she should be a 'guest' for the 'Timeline of cast' as well. It was there, but it has been removed, it's stupid to remove it just because she isn't liked. This should factual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.19.112.33 (talk) 22:28, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone add Faye Resnick's info... she is now listed as a official cast member on the official website.

should we also mention her first and only blog on the website was taken down most likely due to an overwhelmingly negative response by viewer comments? http://starcasm.net/archives/189029 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.234.77 (talk) 02:03, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cedric[edit]

The episode guide has several mentions of Cedric but it doesn't say who he is. Attempts to add this information have been removed, some of this is mistaken reverting because of formatting errors, but it has been removed on other occasions without explanation - is there another reason? Peter E. James (talk) 16:54, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cedric-(just kidding). Cedric should probably be listed as a recurring guest or character since he was featured heavily in one season and then brought-back minor in the next season?24.0.133.234 (talk) 15:20, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

WP becoming a TV guide?[edit]

What would you do if you bought an encyclopedia and found out it was filled with articles about TV programs? I don't know which is worse, articles about video games or tv programs. Gwillhickers (talk) 19:46, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If I were not interested in that topic, I would not read it. Its not like we have to carry Wikipedia home from the encyclopedia store or pay postage24.0.133.234 (talk) 15:10, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs major overhaul for credibility purposes[edit]

This reads like promotional material written by publicists, and not at all like a factual entry worthy of an encyclopedia. For example, it describes Taylor Armstrong as "stunning", Lisa Vanderpump as "charming and witty", and Kyle Richards as "sassy" (and that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg insofar as subjective statements). I am hesitant to edit it, however, because I strongly suspect that any edits will be undone very quickly, and I do not have time to babysit the article. Nevertheless, it has extremely little credibility as written, so someone with more time may want to take it on as a project. TamaTamaFoFama (talk) 20:55, 23 November 2011 (UTC) The reason it sounds like promotional material is because it is, every word of it. It has been plagerized from the Bravo TV site and all the descriptions have just been copied and pasted on to this site. I corrected something once and it is gone now. I don't watch the show much so don't have the knowledge or wherewithall to correct all of itMaryannob (talk) 07:02, 13 January 2012 (UTC)maryannob[reply]

I have a problem with this too. On the one hand, the copied material could be from the media page at NBCUNI, which qualifies as "good" non-free use and is a great source for images if used correctly. One the other hand, the promotional content is subject to opinion/editing (with good reason such as "stunning" is nice way to say, "freak-show" but if it is changed that would violate the nonfree ©!).

This is a problem throughout television topics. And I wholely object to the practice of re-writing/fan-fictionalizing episode guides as some editors here applaud themselves-for. In my opinion, actually technically-speaking, re-wording non-free, or copyrighted content is nothing more than creating "derivative works", a COPYVIO. I hope that this is resolved eventually.24.0.133.234 (talk) 15:18, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Friends of Housewives[edit]

I noticed that the American Real Housewives installments don't have all the friends of Housewives/ aren't called that. Like here in Beverly Hills So I added it. Thehotgossip (talk) 12:23, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cast order[edit]

@24.244.91.196 and Mymis: - There is an edit war over the ordering of cast so I thought I'd try to clear this up. Per WP:TVCAST and the instructions for {{Infobox television}}, cast should be organized according to the series original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list. In circumstances where cast are given equal billing, there is no strong consensus as to how cast should be ordered but, per this discussion, alphabetical order seems to be the most logical method of listing. Ordering by perceived notability is not recommended as this introduces as element of original research into the article. --AussieLegend () 11:42, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I respect this opinion- however, I would like to note that this notability is not perceived, it is substantial and proven by simply looking at the numbers. Lisa Vanderpump has more shows, followers, etc.
As well, in the broadcast credits (assuming an intro counts as such) Lisa is noted and featured first.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ9Z7bZgEgE
If you as a moderator decide this is irrelevant, than I will stand down. However, to me, whether looking at numerical notability, or broadcasting credit titles, Lisa is undeniably first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.244.91.196 (talk) 23:09, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid that notability is irrelevant to the way that we list characters. --AussieLegend () 11:13, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Vanderpump was listed last among other housewives in the opening credits of the last season's intro. She was listed second in the first season, first in the second one and at the end in the third season. Overall, it's obvious that Bravo lists the housewives randomly in the opening credits every single season. Mymis (talk) 08:40, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's far from random. It's all about whose storylines are the most significant, and whose taglines flow the best in order. I'm starting to think you do not even watch the show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.217.222 (talk) 06:57, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I do watch the show. Vanderpump was listed at the very end last season so, according to you, she had the least significant storyline? That makes no sense. And the discussion is whether Bravo lists the housewives in the opening credits according to their notability or not. Mymis (talk) 08:38, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They should be listed in alphabetical order, of original appearance. The infobox goes against the template, anyway. I would attempt to change, but it'd get switched back immediately. livelikemusic my talk page! 04:23, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
" and whose taglines flow the best in order."
Lisa's tagline sounded best near the end, due to the way it was phrased. Are you reading my messages fully or just picking out bits?
They do. However, this is irrelevant. The mod CLEARLY stated that it's all about who is first. If Kim is first next season, feel free to put her at the top of the list and I won't object. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.244.91.196 (talk) 06:03, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, what kind of mod are you talking about?? Not a single mod has come to this dicussion yet. Secondly, "taglines flow the best"? It's not a poem and it's only your own assumption. And the list supposed to reflect ALL the seasons, not only the current one. Mymis (talk) 08:04, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Are you serious right now? I'm trying to be diplomatic but youre being absolutely ridiculous. For one, other things besides poems are supposed to flow, believe it or not!! Also, I think it's common sense they're not gonna put it together so it sounds choppy and weird. Like really. Also, if it's supposed to reflect all seasons, Lisa has been first in broadcasting credits during Seasons 2, 3, and 5. More than any other housewife in the show. But really, can you point me to where it says it's supposed to reflect all seasons? Because I'm pretty sure it even says in the subtitle we are talking about "CURRENT". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.217.222 (talk) 06:10, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"She [Vanderpump] was listed second in the first season" - Per WP:TVCAST and the instructions for {{Infobox television}}, she should be listed second and remain listed second. We don't move people around.
"They should be listed in alphabetical order, of original appearance" - No, that's definitely not correct. Please see WP:TVCAST
"First of all, what kind of mod are you talking about?? Not a single mod has come to this dicussion yet" - Wikipedia doesn't have moderators. Administrators here do not perform the same functions here that they perform on other websites.
"can you point me to where it says it's supposed to reflect all seasons" - Per WP:TVCAST, "articles should reflect the entire history of a series". --AussieLegend () 07:22, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The moral of the story is that Lisa in first in the broadcasting/billing credits not only this season, but 3/5 seasons. Whether it goes by this season or the whole series, Lisa is first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.217.222 (talk) 09:15, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, not at all. As I've pointed out with reference to the relevant guidelines, if she was listed second in the first season, that's where she belongs. --AussieLegend () 13:27, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If Vanderpump so unbelievably important, why wasn't she listed first in every single season? And saying that her tagline sometimes flows the best at the end is pointless. The fact remains that the way Bravo lists the cast members is completely different every single season. Mymis (talk) 13:52, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
She was listed second in season 1, however, the person who WAS first is no longer a main housewife. Leaving Lisa as the first available housewife closest to the beginning. Mymis, I'm done speaking to you. You choose to completely ignore every fact I state and respond with recycled and ignorant statements. We're done, please leave - Heather Dubrow — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.244.91.196 (talk) 23:12, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's completely irrelevant that the person who was listed first is no longer a main housewife. WP:TVCAST and the instructions for {{Infobox television}} are quite clear that we list cast according to original credit order. Even if the other person leaves the series, they reamin on the list. --AussieLegend () 01:11, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I truly do not understand why it is being changed. If it goes in order of the ORIGINAL billing credits, aka the ones for season 1, the order is most certainly NOT Kim, Kyle, Lisa.

There's two lists: CURRENT housewives, FORMER housewives.

Following the logic you stated, as sourced by WP:TVCAST then should the two lists not be ordered separately (as is done on all Housewives pages) in order of first billing?

As seen in the billing credits for season 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzCWLz-4cxs The order is clearly: Taylor Armstrong, Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer.

So, should the Former housewives list not be: Taylor, Adrienne, Camille? And, the current housewives list not be: Lisa, Kim, Kyle?

It makes no sense as to why it's supposed to go in the order of original season 1 billing credits, yet it's being changed consistently to an order completely different. 24.244.91.196 (talk) 10:17, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone going to address this? I'd adore for this page to follow the rules. 24.244.91.196 (talk) 22:49, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is fucking ridiculous. Set up rules then refuse to follow them, and lock the page so I can't help you follow them?

How dare this nobody talk about that utterly irrelevant LVP here? No, that "person" should NOT, is not and will not *ever* be number 1 on *any* list! This better not come up ever again. Yoryla (talk) 00:57, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 9 September 2019[edit]

In the cast members grid, there are two errors. In Season 9, Camille Grammar was a "Friend" NOT "Main." And for season 10, there has been no confirmation or even rumor that Brandi Glanville will be appearing in any proximity, so that box should be blank, not say "Friend." 69.113.146.237 (talk) 02:38, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Season 10 Cast Timeline[edit]

Please stop editing the cast timeline to include the roles for S10, the rolls will not be confirmed until Bravo releases the promo for S10. We are currently aware of the ladies that are filming but we have no idea what their final role will be in the show. Anything before the announcement without cast or production confirmation, is just speculation and inaccurate at this time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.18.70.29 (talk) 09:47, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Denise Richards had a credited guest appearance in season 5 episode 11. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4351846/?ref_=ttep_ep11 Ev Thom (talk) 17:17, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help TheHotwiki. Sorry, I am new to the Wikipedia community, and did not realize the IMDB rule. Would this link suffice about Denise? https://athletchic.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/reality-recap-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills-s5-ep11-rhobh/ It describes her appearance in the episode. She filmed a scene with the ladies at Lisa's house, discussing her marriage to Charlie Sheen. Definitely more than a background cameo/extra. If I find something about Lisa Rinna's season 4 appearance I will let you know. I know it has been sourced that she originally applied for season 1, but didn't make the cast. I know Bravo used her appearance to create buzz she was joining the cast even though she wasn't at the time. https://www.eonline.com/news/409445/lisa-rinna-not-joining-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills-despite-reports Ev Thom (talk) 21:36, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article cites Lisa Rinna's season 4 appearance as an introductory "guest appearance". https://screenrant.com/rhobh-lisa-rinna-trashes-herself-sell-lipstick-instagram/ Ev Thom (talk) 21:51, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa Rinna's "guest appearance" was never mentioned in the show or talked about after she joined the show. It lacks notability to be billed as a "guest appearance". Can you provide a video clip of this "guest appearance" and prove that it isn't a "blink and miss" camera footage? Same with Denise's "guest appearance". Also, If you hadn't wrote my name in the article (which was vandalism), this article wouldn't have been locked again. You should have taken this in the talk page in the first place. Gather and wait for a consensus.TheHotwiki (talk) 22:23, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I don't think screen rant isn't a reliable source (site is filled with rumours and gossips). The Eonline article never mentioned a guest appearance from Lisa Rinna. And Wordpress isn't allowed in Wikipedia to be used as a reference.TheHotwiki (talk) 22:27, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I know the Eonline article did not mention the appearance. That is in reference to the press that was generated from her appearance. Here is publication policy for ScreenRant. https://screenrant.com/fact-checking-policy/. Here is an additional source describing Denise's appearance http://smallscreenscoop.com/lisa-rinna-jewelry/, as well as a link showing that she received a title card for her appearance. https://www.tvco.app/posts/remember-denise-on-season-5 Ev Thom (talk) 23:15, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
How notable are those appearances? A guest role is something like Brandi and Camille had in season ten. Denise and Lisa Rinna weren't credited as guests by Bravo in the first place.TheHotwiki (talk) 00:46, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The previous link I provided depicted a full scene with quotes about conversations that Denise had with at least two cast members, so mics were involved. This would confirm she was not a background/blink in you missed it so this question has already been answered. I also provided a snapshot of Denise's title that production provided of her for that episode. So I'm going to need you to elaborate or source that Bravo did not credit them for for these appearances since that in fact would be a credit to her appearance that episode. I have provided multiple sources and for the timeline to say they did not appear is incorrect. Ev Thom (talk) 14:46, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Your links aren't reliable. Post an OFFICIAL statement from Bravo that they appeared as guests. I already looked up this up online and couldn't find anything claiming their "guest appearances" aside from fansites/IMDb. Not a single clip.TheHotwiki (talk) 16:58, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thin out the cast of RHOBH[edit]

Kathy Hilton needs to stay at home and off of the show! It’s apparent her husbands money has gone to her head! I thought she was just playing a dumb blonde, but I don’t think she’s playing a role. I think it’s real!! She has a real high opinion of herself. She is the actual bully! If Kathy, Garcelle and Sutton left the show it would be a lot more enjoyable! Kyle needs to cut that cord. It appears Kathy takes great pleasure in hurting her! She is just MEAN!!!
