  • Comment 2: The hook is interesting because one does not usually hear of a computer getting shipped without an operating system. A somewhat advanced topic, but I think it is good to DYK it to note on the front page that Wikipedia does have scholarly content, and is not just about pop-culture items.   • I was initially skeptical of the hook, because what business would pay for a computer that required substantial effort to even determine if it was functional? However, the first customer wasn't a business, (it was Los Alamos) who had the time and resources, and they got a free six-month trial. Hook is verified and dates are fine. Looks good to me.
