Interview with Åse Kleveland

The English Wikinews is going to be organizing an interview with the former Norwegian Culture Minister Åse Kleveland. She was also the head of the Swedish Film Institute and is now the chairwoman of the Norwegian Humanist Association. I am asking Wikipedians from all of the Scandinavian languages to contribute questions to her upcoming interview with Wikinews in Oslo. The page is here; please leave questions there and comments to me either on my en.wikinews talk page or my en.wikipedia talk page. Thank you very much! Mike H. Rollback Privileges

Hello! I'm currently requested at Wikipedia:Requests_for_permissions#Current_requests and I was wondering if you'd take the time to consider my request for Rollback privileges. Thanks! preschooler@heart 09:32, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tåpelig oppførsel

Det er vel rimelig tåpelig oppførsel å slett et avsnitt i artikkelen om Oslo fordi du synes overskriften ikke er i overensstemmelse med retningslinjer for omtale av byer. Krgj (talk) 21:54, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

Hello! I just wanted to pass along my apology for disappointing you in my train wreck of an RfA (there is a scrap metal sale going on now, if you're interested). I am going on Wikibreak and I will let you know when or if I am back on the site -- I am trying to take time away to clear my thoughts and refocus on this and other priorities. Be well. Ecoleetage (talk) 05:09, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heya..

Can you come discuss your reversion on the talk page... I did. NonvocalScream (talk) 21:31, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Hello, I would like to know how to have a copy of the recently-deleted article Gyn Talk (Visual Fiction) put into my user space. Thank you for your time. Thank you very much. Joseph Levi (talk) 12:28, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Typo redirect Goten(Dragon Ball)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Goten(Dragon Ball), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Goten(Dragon Ball) is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Goten(Dragon Ball), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. RfA

Hi Aqwis! Thank you very much for your support in my RfA, which passed yesterday. I hope not to let you and the others down and use the tools for the benefit of the project. Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 19:02, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Hi Aqwis, and thanks for supporting my successful request for adminship. It was nice to see all the kind comments I got from my supporters and I hope that I will be more useful to the community now that I have the tools again.--Berig (talk) 15:01, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

Hi! Please remember to add category interwikis. Also, I do think people should be categorized as people from [municipality], at least for the somewhat large municipalities. Punkmorten (talk) 11:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I hesitated to create seperate categories for "people from x non-city municipality" as there wasn't an equivalent of Category:People by city in Norway for those. You're probably right that adding them to the People from x county category is a good solution, though. --Aqwis (talkcontributions) 12:17, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We could create a Category:People by municipality in Norway, explaining that it's meant for non-city municipalities. Punkmorten (talk) 14:44, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which recently passed with 126 in support, 22 in opposition and 6 neutral votes.

Thanks for your oppose vote in my RFA. I will try to work on the problems that you brought up.

request for third opinion

Hi, I and my fellow editors are facing a deadlock on a issue of removing/toning down a section as subsection under criticism section in Operation Blue Star article, concerns include WP:NPOV, the summary of dispute can be found at [1], please let us know your views/opinion so that 'alleged' bias may be looked into and a consensual solution may be found. Requesting 5 articles which were deleted

Hello Aqwis, as you know, you are listed as an administrator who can provide deleted articles to a user.

I am requesting 5 deleted articles please:

From: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 November 15

If I could please also get the creator's name and date it was created?

You can add all 5 pages to a userspace, lets say User:Inclusionist/Minicalc, or you are welcome to email me the information.

I really appreciate it. You are probably wondering why I ask. Well, I have spent my weekend on a graph found here: User:Inclusionist/AfD on average day. I am interested in what type of user gets their page deleted, etc....November 15 is just a day pulled out of a hat by another user today.

I noticed your tag on your user page, that you are an inclusionist too. Do you happen to know some of the other inclusionist administrators? I had someone ask me today.

You may be interested in working with the WP:Article Rescue Squadron] they do some really good work, and have rescued numerous articles. Are you more involved in policy yourself? Thanks in advance. Inclusionist (talk) 09:24, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - someone has nominated the entire article on Riff driven songs for deletion. Please see Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Riff_driven and vote whether to delete or keep the article. Thanks! Geĸrίtzl (talk)

Thank you for your participation in my recent RfA, which failed with 90/38/3; whether you supported, opposed or remained neutral.

Special thanks go out to Moreschi, Dougweller and Frank for nominating me, and I will try to take everyone's comments on board.

Thanks again for your participation. I am currently concentrating my efforts on the Wikification WikiProject. It's fun! Please visit the project and wikify a few articles to help clear the backlog. If you can recruit some more participants, then even better.

This barnstar is in honor of your depressing, unloved presence on IRC on Valentine's Day, 2009. Adenin deletion

I created a redirect from Adenin to Adenine. That redirect got deleted for being advertising which I don't understand at all.

The fact that Adenine is named Adenin in other language such as German makes it likely that sometimes people will type in Adenin to get to Adenine because not everybody is aware when chemical substances are named differently in different languages and espcially when they only differ in one letter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brutha (talkcontribs) 16:21, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hope you don't mind

Hope you don't mind me interferring in your work with Strandgaten. I happened to notice the draft since it transcluded {{Hordaland-geo-stub}}, and the book I have referenced lied open on the correct page in front of me. How could I stay away. Rettetast (talk) 20:15, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
