An odd sentence[edit]

After Bruce Sutter struck out Gorman Thomas in the ninth inning, Smith celebrated a World Series championship with his teammates. Well, yes, celebrations occur after championships are won. Is this worthy of inclusion? — Timneu22 · talk 15:13, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I made the change. — Timneu22 · talk 20:23, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Besides playing golf as a hobby.[edit]

There is a sentence in the section "Post playing career" that reads:

"Besides playing golf as a hobby."

This is a sentence fragment, and makes little sense. Vandalism? Green Cardamom (talk) 17:30, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It does make sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yo.guess2010 (talkcontribs) 18:25, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Besides" what? It's poor writing. I could try to guess what's being said here, and could come up with 2 or 3 different answers. Also it's un-sourced. Deleting until someone can provide a source AND clearly state the intention of the sentence. Green Cardamom (talk) 03:25, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
