Synopsis[edit]

I've removed a synopsis that turned out to be a word-for-word copyright infringement of a summary posted at a fan site [1]. Maybe we could wait until tomorrow evening and write about it properly. --Tony Sidaway 17:36, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does this story count as an homage to the unproduced Doctor Who serial Song of the Space Whale? 90.198.228.60 (talk) 13:58, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't recall that serial being mentioned in the accompanying Torchwood Declassified. --Tony Sidaway 14:26, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have a memory of something called a 'beef' from an old (pre-colour) issue of 2000AD, it was a genetically engineered organism of the future that was otherwise identical in look and description to the meat creature described in this episode. Does anyone know which issue this came from? Tues 26 February 2008
It's really not that unusual an idea in SF. Pohl and Kornbluth in The Space Merchants (1952) had a genetically engineered food organism called "Chicken Little". I believe theirs was non-sentient, however. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 12:45, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pterodactyl?[edit]

The Pterodactyl makes a brief appearance in this episode, its first of this series.

Really? Didn't it attack Lisa in Cyberwoman? --DrBat (talk) 03:30, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That was in Series 1. This episode is part of Series 2. DonQuixote (talk) 14:30, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I get it.
I live in the US, so I use terms like 'seasons.' I thought 'series' meant the show as a whole. Sorry. :o --DrBat (talk) 02:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Space Whale[edit]

There's no proof of the cash cow being an Space Whale , it just uses the same sound effects. Where is that information from?--189.164.134.118 (talk) 23:09, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Image: Expand upon the "To illustrate a key element of the plot." on the image page. Maybe noted that the alien was computer generated and resembled "a giant kebab"
Done.
  • Lede: Link second series
Done
  • Lede: why is sock puppet un-quoted, but hand puppet is?
No idea. I unquoted hand puppet because I think that makes more sense than to have both quoted.
  • Plot: Link characters' names and put who plays who in parenthesis after they are introduced
Done. Seeing as I have a "background" and "events" section in the article I haven't linked characters mentioned in both sections twice. Three actors mentioned do not have notability so I refrained from adding red links.
  • References: Anytime you separate numbers, be it a date or pages, you should use an en-dash ("–") instead of a regular dash ("-"). An en-dash needs to be added to Refs 25 and 27
Added.

On hold for seven days.--Gen. Quon (talk) 20:01, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks very much for the review! Eshlare (talk) 22:54, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good! I will pass it now! Cheers.--Gen. Quon (talk) 23:50, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
