Refimprove[edit]

When I removed the refimprove template from this article, I assumed it had been placed there because the page lacks inline citations (also mentioned by the prod nominator), but I now see that it was placed there by User:Darkstar1st because the article does not mention libertarian socialism. Tagging an article as needing references for something it hasn't said is the dumbest rationale for that tag that I've ever heard. SpinningSpark 10:48, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On the inline citations issue, articles are not required to have inline citations except for some very specific things per WP:V. In my opinion, a banner template is only really necessary, especially on an article as short as this one, if it has multiple statements that are questionable. If there is only one or two problem statements, then tag those specific ones inline. If there isn't really anything controversial, and the article has some general references, then don't tag it at all – what's the point? it's just make-work.
